In a toystore on a Sunday with a dollar forty nine I need something just a dumb thing for my brand new Valentine.
Oh my darling. Oh my darling. Oh my darling Valentine. I’m uneasy, kind of queasy, but you’re still my Valentine.
Yes, it happened in the classroom when you said “Will you be mine?” I was muddled and befuddled, so I answered, “Yeah, that’s fine.”
Then you called me in the lunchroom. You had saved a place in line. And I knew that it was true that I was now your Valentine.
I went shopping for a present and I saw this blinking sign: “Here’s a pleasant little present for a brand new Valentine.”
So I bought it and I brought it in my backpack right at nine. Do you like it? It’s a spy kit with a flashlight you can shine.
I could tell you didn’t like it when you said I was a swine. How exciting! I’m delighting. I have no more Valentine.
Till another person stopped me and they asked “Will you be mine?” This is crushing. Oh, I’m blushing. I’ve another Valentine.
i just love doodling,
I really really do love doodling so much that I don’t even know if it’s normal I actually don’t do it that often and that is because when I do, I could just go on and on so long that I would lose the sense of time I mean, I would forget myself scratching the paper I can lose myself inside the paper and lines so easily It is better not to do it all Or is it I am not so sure anymore actually I am getting confused Now that I’m talking about it, or writing, it sounds so nice again I think I want to do some more doodling Or maybe not Maybe later Or maybe I should do it a bit more often I probably should So, hey, to doodle or not to doodle I really don’t know I just know that if I just doodled and doodled then I would run out of paper so very very soon Because I am also crazy about LINES And if I make a line that I so really really like, then I have to leave it there on the white paper It is perfect like this And then I will have loads and loads and loads of piles of papers with lines Do you think that’s a good idea What do you think Do you like doodling I know you don’t have to be an artist to make breathtaking doodles Just have a look at your friend on phone talking to someone and holding a pen What will he do if he also had paper nearby Just give someone paper and pen when they’re on phone talking – miracles will happen Don’t you agree
Anyway, folks, I am going to doodle now
Oh, PS, the doodles here are made during a children’s picture book writing and illustrating course I am attending at the moment (great stuff by the way!) I have to mention Adrienne Geoghegan, because she is the great writer and illustrator who is tutoring the course And she gave us some samples for doodling And then we doodled and I doodled and then these things happened:

Thanks, Adrienne, I had a great time doodling
